What’s the one piece of advice you would give others about life?

Work hard and play hard! I decided a long time ago that no one would ever out-work me, but we all must recharge from time to time. Construction requires sacrifices but don’t shortchange your loved ones. It is critical to have hobbies and “outlets,” or you risk burning out.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

My family. The support I received growing up and then my wife and I being blessed with our wonderful kids. How did I get this lucky?

What is your hidden talent?

Motivational Speaker. This is partially tongue-in-cheek as my kids tend to roll their eyes when I give them “pep” talks prior to games or practice, but I really enjoy pumping our teams up when we encounter challenging situations on our projects. I truly believe a positive, can-do attitude starts at the top and is infectious across the entire project.
