Choate Named a Top National Corporate Team by CF Foundation
February 4, 2021
For a fourth consecutive year, Choate is honored to be named a National Corporate Champion for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Humbled to be among top-tier firms like American Airlines, Deloitte, and Hyatt Hotels, Choate joins the elite ranks of organizations that support the CF Foundation cause through employee engagement, customer awareness and engagement, and monetary support.
Choate’s cystic fibrosis story began in 1989. As Founder & Chairman Millard Choate launched the company, he learned the news a friend’s daughter had been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Choate Construction’s support of the Foundation naturally fell into place and the partnership, along with the company, has been growing together ever since.
From the creation of custom events like Cars & ‘Q, to the impressive XTREME hiking team, four other annual events, and a variety of individual involvement, Choate’s participation and passion span the spectrum. Funds raised routinely top $650,000 annually.
“Being named a CFF National Corporate Partner is a true testament to our employee-owners and their desire to make a profound impact in the lives of those struggling with CF,” says Matt Brewer, President. “Stewardship is engrained in Choate’s DNA, but it is our dedicated staff that bring it to life year after year.”
Additionally, the Georgia Chapter of the CF Foundation recently recognized Choate with their “Hero of Hope” award, presented to the Choate employees that revamped their fundraising plan despite COVID-19’s challenges.
Awards were at the CF Foundation’s National Annual Meeting on January 28th and Georgia Volunteer Celebration on February 4th.
