- What’s a random fact you love telling people?
- I grew up in a large family, and we used to take insane road trips. Most ambitious was driving from South Carolina to Denali National Park in Alaska…and back. Grateful to my parents for giving us that experience.
- If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?
- Joan of Arc arriving at the Siege of Orléans, leading assaults, being wounded, and forcing the English to lift the Siege. I’ve been fascinated by her story from the time I read Mark Twain’s Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc when I was young.
- What advice would you give your younger self starting out?
- I’d tell younger me that one hour spent now is worth eight hours later. This was likely conveyed to me in many ways when I was younger, but I’m partial to this wording for getting the point home.
