Matt Hartig

With over two decades in the construction industry, Matt brings a wealth of knowledge across a variety of unique and challenging projects, leading successful teams and client relationships for some of Choate’s larger and more complex projects. As Director of Operations, he is responsible for overseeing all project-related operations for Choate’s Raleigh office.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself as a child and why?

Curious. So much so that when I was only a few years old my parents gave me a stuffed Curious George. I was a big fan of his books and shows.

If you could close your eyes and be anywhere on earth when they opened, where would you be?

Costa Rica. Growing up in a coastal community I have always loved surfing and fishing. Costa Rica is one of the best places to enjoy both.

If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why?

My current age. I thoroughly enjoy my career, my sons are old enough to have a good relationship with, and yet, I am young enough to have a full life ahead of me.
