Charleston, SC –
Choate Construction Company announces the successful completion of three industrial warehouse buildings at the Camp Hall Commerce Park in Ridgeville, SC for repeat-client Childress Klein Properties. The sprawling 1,422,680 logistics hub is set to play a pivotal role in enhancing supply chain capabilities, thanks to its strategic design and location. Fukui Architects was the design partner for this project, with Thomas & Hutton PEA Associates, Refresco Consulting Engineers, and Haas Kennedy performing civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical services, respectively.
“Camp Hall 8 is more than a logistics center; it represents a leap forward in economic potential for Ridgeville and the surrounding areas,” said Tim Heichelbech, Vice President and Division Manager for Choate Construction in Charleston. “We’re honored to be a part of this project alongside our talented partners and look forward to the impact it will have on both businesses and the local workforce.”
Situated on a 107-acre site known as Campus 8, this development combines global connectivity with cutting-edge facilities. Camp Hal’s advantageous location offers unparalleled access through the I-26 interchange, railway links, and proximity to major ports, making it an ideal choice for logistics and distribution operations.
The newly completed site is comprised of:
Building A: 967,700 SF with a 40’ clear height, featuring two fully finished office upfits.
Building B: 273,000 SF with a 36’ clear heigh, also including two office upfits.
Building C: 182,000 SF with a 32’ clear height and one office upfit.
Collectively, the facilities feature 290 overhead doors, comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, and layouts designed to maximize efficiency. Beyond infrastructure, Camp Hall promotes a balance between productivity and well-being with planned multiuse trails and future amenities for employees. The park’s design integrates seamlessly into the surrounding environment, while providing tenants with an atmosphere that fosters growth and innovation.
This project is a cornerstone in the ongoing development of Ridgeville as a major logistics and business hub. By strengthening regional supply chain infrastructure and creating new opportunities for commerce, the site is expected to generate significant economic activity and job growth. The dual road connections—frontage on Autonomous Drive and access via the planned Redwood Materials Drive—further enhance its accessibility, making it a catalyst for regional logistics development.
